Laboratory Services
AGPAHI works in collaboration with the CHMTs, RHMTs and health facilities in supported districts to strengthen laboratories and testing sites for provision of quality diagnosis and proper monitoring of ART services.
The efforts include;
- sample collection,
- transportation,
- analysis.
We have capacitated 582 health facilities and established 64 sample collection and preparatory centres (Hubs).
In addition,AGPAHI have engaged Courier Services providers to transport samples to a central laboratory for analysis and sending results back to health facilities.
In total 901 HCWs received training on HVL sample management. The sample management system is supported by an online electronic sample referral system (e-SRS). The e-SRS connects sample information between the hubs and the testing laboratories.
